A bit of culture

This afternoon we visited the Thang Chong Palace, which turned out not to be a palace at all but is a beautiful tropical garden and pagoda housing one of the largest private collections of antiquities. It is owned by a famous and wealthy Vietnamese artist and was really unique. There were pots and various ceramics dating back to the 2nd century and a number of ancient structures that had been reconstructed within the garden. All very Feng Shui. Lots of different Chines dragons and lotus blossoms etc.

Did you know that most Chinese dragons only have 4 toes. If they have 5 toes it proves that they once belonged to the Emperor!
Amazing the things one learns.
