Day 12

Day 12

I am packed and have vacated my cabin. The last couple of days have been uneventful, just sailing back to Bergen and the end of the cruise. There has been short ( 30 minutes or so) stops at small communities where goods and passengers have been either deposited or collected, but the villages themselves have little interest that can be detected in the short time available.
We are now sailing along the coast approaching Bergen. The sun is shining but there is a fair swell and I can see high waves breaking on the rocky shore.
It has been an enjoyable experience. I saw what I came for but am a little disappointed that the ship is so large and cruise like. The experience would have been more authentic in one of the smaller ships.

You will have to try one of the smaller ships next time! Nevermind – sounds like you had a fantastic time anyway. X

Glad you had a good trip. We have also sailed on one of the bigger boats and while we enjoyed it, decided that a smaller vessal would be better. Easier to meet people.
