Port Elizabeth

Hurray my bag arrived along with everyoneelse’s!  How it ame to bypass customs is a mystery, but I can tell you I was just delighted to see it!

We are staying overnight here in Port Elizabeth. It is n ideal place for us to rest and relax after 24 hours travelling.  At first sight I thought that it reminded me of the Riviera, but without the crowds of people. It is very quiet here. (actually it is pretty dead).  However the staff here are much better than in France and there are lots more of them.

The Boardwalk area where we are staying consists of this really lovely hotel, a casino and a great number of shops and restaurants all overlooking a lagoon. Very attractive, very empty.imageI am presently enjoying a glass of local wine and a smoked salmon sandwich, the rest of the afternoon will be a shower and 40 winks!
