Xi’an.

23/10/17

This must be the tower block capitol of the world! For mile after mile they rise like trees in a forest. All 35/40 floors high, all featureless.

Beijing is acommercial centre, Xian is industrial.  People come here to work in the factories andthere is a constant buiding programme to house them.

We visited a folk art museum where theguide described the meaning behind much of traditionalChinese art. We also had a brief lesson in Chinese calligraphy and the formation of Chinese characters. None of us showed much aptitude.

Building work is going on all over the place. A bit too fast for basic elf and safety!

I dont suppose a bite of bare wiring is not a problem to people who brave the traffic in Xian every day.

After dinner we visited the area in front of the Wild Goose Pagoda. A 20 minute musical water show.
